Process

SCYO’s in-person audition concluded on 3 November 2024. Late audition applications via video recordings can still be considered.

  1. Check Availability: Email admin@scyo.org.au to confirm if there is a position available for your instrument and ensemble.
  2. Create an Account: Once you receive confirmation, visit SCYO Portal to create an account. Be sure to set up a profile for your musician.
  3. Prepare Your Audition: Select a solo piece and prepare the audition excerpts listed listen.
  4. Record Your Audition: Film your audition video at home.
  5. Submit Your Video: Use WeTransfer to send your recording to audition@scyo.org.au.
  6. Final Steps: Once your video is received, our admin team will attach an audition application and fee to your profile. All applicant information will then be compiled and sent to the conductors for review.
