Sunshine Coast Junior Eisteddfod 2019

Congratulations to Amati on their first prize in the Full Orchestra/String Orchestra in the primary section of large ensembles. Also to Chamber Strings on their second place in the secondary section of large ensembles. Due to Youth Symphony exceeding the maximum number of participants they were ineligible to enter in 2019. Many SCYO students were heavily involved within their school ensembles as well as small ensembles, quartets, duets and individual sections receiving well earned credits for their hard work.

Sunshine Coast Junior Eisteddfod 2017

Congratulations to Chelsey and the Youth Symphony on taking out first prize in the Full Orchestra/String Orchestra section of the Eisteddfod. It was a fantastic evening and Maria enjoyed hearing all the other performances and seeing all of the SCYO members playing in their schools. Everyone of the other ensembles had SCYO members performing and it’s the reason we exist due to such excellent school programs. Well done everyone!
Apologies for the photo not having everyone in it – it was a little rushed at the end.

Congratulations to Wind Symphony for its 3rd place in the Large Secondary Ensembles – first place to Matthew Flinders involving Dan and Max, second place to NCC and third place to SCYO Wind Symphony – it was a wonderful performance and congratulations to Jodie who finished the day after conducting a massive 5 ensembles over the past few days.

Congratulations to the SCYO Amati and Sinfonia musicians on their well deserved win in the Sunshine Coast Junior Eisteddfod held at Matthew Flinders!

A special thank you and congratulations to their lovely conductor Jo as well as Maria, Izzy and Tetias who are all very proud with our musicians’ display of enthusiasm and professionalism today.
