On behalf of the committee of Sunshine Coast Youth Orchestra (SCYO), I welcome your interest in the role of SCYO Music Director.

We are seeking an exceptional Music Director to guide the artistic vision of one of Queensland’s most vibrant youth music organisations in 2027 and beyond. This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic conductor and educator to shape the musical development of young musicians across multiple ensembles and age groups.

About the Sunshine Coast Youth Orchestra

Founded to nurture the next generation of musicians, SCYO is a community-based organisation offering ensemble programs for young players from beginner to advanced levels. The orchestra is known for its supportive culture, high musical standards, and commitment to providing meaningful performance opportunities across the Sunshine Coast region.

SCYO brings together passionate students, dedicated tutors, and an engaged parent community. The organisation values creativity, collaboration, and excellence — and is ready for a Music Director with a bold artistic vision to lead it into its next chapter.
